XLVII, 2. - Seemann 89. - Published as an addition oif the 8th edition of Brockhaus encyclopedia (1833-37, 1839). - "Das Hauptgewicht des Werkes liegt auf der Berichterstattung der neuesten technischen und wissenschaftlichen Errungenschaften. Das Lexikon konnte auch ohne das Hauptwerk als eigenes Nachschlagewerk benützt werden." [abbr. tranlation of quote:"The focus of the work is on ... the latest technical and scientific progress. The encyclopedia can also be used as a reference work even without the main work."] (Seemann p. 119). - With isolated fox stains. Corners slightly bumped. - Fine and clean copy in uniform decorative half calf bindings.
Supplementary edition to the eigth edition of the Brockhaus with main focus on subjects of technique and natural science. Dark green contemporary half calf with some gilt decoration and red labels on spine. - Only here and there foxing. Edges slightly bumped. - Clean copy in decorative uniform bindings.
