Jh. n. Chr.) verfaßte diesen Abriß der Gelehrsamkeit für seinen Sohn. Er behandelt im wesentlichen Fragen der Wortbedeutung, des Genus, der Synonymik etc., daneben die Bezeichnungen für Schiffahrt, Nahrungsmittel, Kleidung, Farben, Waffen u. a. - Fehlt das erste und letzte Registerbl. sowie das erste weiße Bl. (= Bl. 1). - Etw. fleckig und tlw. wasserrandig, erstes Bl. mit kl. Randläsuren, vereinz. Marginalien einer Hand d. 17. Jhs., erstes Initialfeld mit dilett. eingezeichneter Initale, letztes Bl. auf der leeren Rückseite mit frühem Besitzvermerk und Federzeichnung (17. Jh.).

At the same time the main part of three separately released works that were usually published together (besides Nonius Marcellus also De verborum significatione by Sextus Pompeius Festus and De lingua latina by Marcus Terentius Varro). New calf. Folio. 10 (of 12) unnumb., 131 numb. ll. (of 132, lacking first blank). - Lacking first and last index l. as well as first blank l. (= l. 1). - Somewhat stained and with waterstains in places, first l. with small marginal blemishes, isolated marginalia by a 17th century hand, first initial field with dilettantishly executed initial, last l. on blank rear with early ownership entry and feather drawing (17th century).
