• Published as early as in 1908 (in the monthly "Kunst und Künstler").
• Particularly gaudy and atmospheric impression of the Belgian coastal town Knokke.
• Brockhusen created a very charming depiction with a pastose and broad brushstroke and a central perspective.
• Another picture of the beach in Knokke is part of the collection of the Berlinische Galerie / Landesmuseum für Moderne Kunst und Fotografie, Berlin.
• Theo von Brockhusen joined the Berlin Secession in 1905.
