Decorative vellum document, written in a fine Latin cursive with heightenings in gold. Opening page throughout with gilt-shaded majuscules and large ornate initials on a hatched gold ground. - Approbation for the surgeon Antonius Scotti, who successfully passed the exam: "... authentice Nobis ostendisset, quod in principatu tridentino varias operationes Chyrurgicas susceperit: a modo ad nos huc Oenipontum delatus condecenter à Nobis expetierit, ut liberae Chyrurgicae Praxis exercendae Facultatem eidem impertiri praestitis praestantdis ne gravaremur ..." - Binding faded, seal with crack.
Decorative vellum document, written in a fine Latin cursive with heightenings in gold, issued and signed by Johann Michael von Menghin dean of the medical faculty in Innsbruck. Contemp. red silk binding with green giltstamped pastedowns (baroque pattern with rich floral decorations consisiting of busts, griffins, birds and others) and a wax seal in a gauffered brass capsule. - Binding faded, seal with crack.
