Bln. 1685. - Benzing, Egenolff 112. - Pauli, Beham 1239f. - First German edition, the Latin edition was released as appendix to Stoeffler's Elucidatio astrolobii , his main work on using astrolabes. - Magnificently illustrated instruction on measuring; the two figurative woodcuts on the title, showing an architect and an astronomer, are ascribed to Hans Sebald Beham by Pauli. All woodcuts in a neat contemp. coloring. - Lacking the last blank sheet. Skillfully restored copy: with few stains only, with only slight traces of damp in lower half. Partly remargined, last 5 ll. with restored marginal blemish of up to 2 cm, affecting the woodcut, the last l. with mended spot in margin affecting bordering line of woodcut and with contemp. ms. ownership entry, all in all few small marginal splits and isolated small wormtracks. However, an overall fine copy in a very rare and beautiful coloring.
