Up until 1912 Schmidt-Rottluff printed the woodcuts himself. In most cases the printing blocks were not used for more than ten impression, often even far less. Only as of 1913, when Schmidt-Rottluff began to have his woodcuts made on the hand press of the Panpresse by Imberg & Lesson and Fritz Voigt, Berlin, as well as by W. Drugulin, Leipzig, the editions were made in a higher print run. [JS].
