In a dream-like scenery Leonor Fini illustrates her erotic phantasies. Sexuality is one of the artist's main themes. She approaches these issues in an openess unusual for her days, the gender of the figures in her works is not always clearly defined. She often depicts androgynous beings or sphinx-like females. Our work is characterized by an ornamentalization of the surface that calls reminiscence of Gustav Klimt, which creates a dream-like level quite typical of her works. This work was shown at the ground-breaking exhibition "First International Exhibition of Erotic Art" in Lund and Aarhus in 1968, curators were the sex researchers Phyllis and Eberhard Kronhausen.
