Darunter der erst zweite Druck von Newtons einziger chemischen Abhandlung De natura acidorum. - Die Titelvignetten zeigen Newtons Porträt, eingerahmt von Putti und allegor. Darstellungen. - Exemplar aus dem Besitz des Mathematikers, Astronomen und Geodäten Johann Georg von Soldner (1776-1833) mit dessen Namenszug auf den Titelblättern (bei Bd. With 3 engr. title vignettes (rep.), 64 folding engr. plates and 2 folding tables. Contemp. calf with gilt decoration on spine. - Partly somewhat stained, some of the plates stronger. Binding visibly scraped, 2 extremeties of spine with loss of matter, joints partly torn or shaken. - Soldner copy with his ms. ownership entry on title pages, and perhaps Hahnemann copy as well.
