In 1729, the year Sing died, Johann Nepomuk was beatified by pope Benedict XIII. Accordingly, the drawing, which served as model for Sing's altair paintings in the Theatine Church, Munich, wasn't made any earlier and can be regarded one of the earliest illustrations of the saint. [CB].
